In 1971, Lou Malnati opened his first pizzeria in Lincolnwood with a simple mission: to make the best deep-dish pizza in Chicago. Using his mother-in-law's sausage recipe and a unique blend of Wisconsin mozzarella, Lou created what would become Chicago's most beloved pizza.
